Volunteer Interpreter/Translator

ReEstablish Richmond is to connect clients to resources they need to establish roots, build community and become self-sufficient. This role will break down language and cultural barriers to our clients can access the information they need to be successful. Volunteer interpreters or translators also support ReEstablish Richmond staff in ensuring language access and clear communication with clients.

National Standards of Practice in Interpreting

Some refugees are fluent in languages that are not offered by larger translation services. We will populate this list as we become aware of services that translate in these languages.

Kinyarwanda – spoken by some Congolese refugees as well as people from Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi.
