HEELA SEWING COURSE

As part of our community + wellness programming, the Heela Sewing Course offers opportunities to learn detailed machine sewing skills in a supportive group setting.

Gaining a new skill — creating something beautiful and functional — is an empowering experience. Building on the hand-sewing skills many of our clients learned from their mothers and grandmothers, participants can apply their new abilities in various ways. Some pursue careers in sewing, while others use their skills to beautify their homes and create clothing for their families.

The Heela Sewing Course is divided into two levels:

  • Beginner Level 1 focuses on the basics of sewing through simple home goods projects.

  • Beginner Level 2 expands to include garment making and professional sewing skills. ***Open to graduates of Beginner Level 1 only.
